repair

We’ve completed hundreds of repair “operations” on leaded windows all over the Bay Area and beyond to the complete satisfaction, and sometimes astonishment of our clients. In most cases, the window panel must be removed for repair, but we pride ourselves on performing these jobs with great care from start to finish to ensure that when the work is complete and re-installed, not only the glass but the surrounding framework or moulding looks as if the damage had never occurred.

Broken entryway window

Unfortunately, this type of repair is common. The lower panel of glass in this window was broken to gain entry into the owners home.

synagogue window

This window was custom made for a Bay Area Synagogue. The repair for this window was especially challenging because of the unique colors of this beautiful blown glass, but we were able to source the glass and restore it seamlessly.

Repair process. This installed, beveled window was severely damaged. We came to the home, carefully removed the broken window, and installed a piece of plywood to temporarily secure the entryway. We repaired all the broken pieces, and had the broken beveled pieces recreated. We rebuilt the window, and reinstalled it.

West Lake Tahoe repair project. First photo shows the entryway leaded glass completely torn apart by a bear! After rebuilding the windows, and reinstalling, we installed tempered glass in front of both of the art glass panels for added security, protection, insulation, and for an aesthetic update.
